Isola 2000 is in a fantastic position - it receives wonderful Mediterranean sunshine and has excellent snow records. Located in the mountains between the Mediterranean and Italy. It has 120km of pistes and since the resort is situated at high altitude (over 2600m), skiing conditions are usually very good. The north-facing slopes ensure that snow lingers into the spring. In fact its not unusual for the resort to enjoy better skiing conditions than its northerly nabours, and regularly remains open until May. Even in the periods of little or no snow fall, there are 165 snow canons to ensure some skiing.

The resort offers plenty of challenging runs and excellent off-piste for experienced skiers. It's also ideal for beginners and intermediate skiers with lots of safe, snow guaranteed, slopes. There's an excellent and well established French ski school and other facilities include: heli-ski, snow shoe tracks, snow scooters, ice rink, snow rally race track, 4kms of cross country Nordic skiing, plus plenty of organised activities for children. The resort has lots of good mountain restaurants and bars. There are plenty of shops, two excellent supermarkets, a hairdressing salon, games arcade, a cinema, a skating rink and two night clubs.15km down the mountain you'll find the charming medieval village of Isola with an aqua centre popular with kids.
